Today I would like to share a project I did for Christmas. I used  a Seven Gypsies Tray and decorated each box with different pieces of Christmas paper and embellishments. I used stickles to add glitter and bling! These trays are very versatile and fun to decorate. I've done them as gifts for gifts in different occasions...they come in white and with different LO's.  I hope I've inspired you to try something different and Fun, use up those scraps and make a nice decoration!

I chose to turn the sketch 90 degrees. The picture is of my DD and her dog Beau spending some time together on the beach. I just love this unposed photo that she was totally unaware of. The papers are from Bo Bunny Avenues. I fussy cut the clocks out and used them as my inspiration for the title.

Sept 1st Challenge with a Twist!

 

 

 

And My Take on the Sketch...

 

 

For this LO I used the WE R Memory Keepers "Chalkboard" Collection.

I tried my hand at a little bit of Mixed Media by putting Gesso on a majority of the paper, after it dried I applied Gelatos to the edges and smudged some on the background in pink and blue. Then I spritzed and splattered the background with some blue. I also used pen to create a stitch look on my chevrons and around my circles so they would POP a little more. Lastly I used my embossing folder on the black banners this was the TWIST to the challenge. There you have it!

Another Yummy Sketch to work with!!!

 I couldn't wait to get busy with this one and new right away I wanted to use recent taken pictures of my DD on the New Bicycle we got her for her Bday!  Here is my Very Busy but I think Very Fun LO !n I couldn't resist using this paper! I mean really... the bike was perfect, along with the heart balloons and cloud, fun polka dots, stripes and flowers! Thanks for looking!

This is my first Entry for the challenge over at Use Your Words. The word was TOUGH and I really wasn't sure how the heck I could use that on a LO! I really wanted to use this picture of my DD and as I was working on it the Title just came to me!

 

This sketch was for another challenge at Purple Pumpkin - Another first for me but I really wanted to give it a try. I stepped out of my Comfort Zone and went a little artsy funky for me but it was fun and the  result was exciting!

I chose this Picture of my DD acting a little silly/crazy ...not her norm! I just love capturing this FUN side of her! I wanted the LO to be pretty but edgy at the same time to reflect how she was acting when the picture was taken.

I'm finally finding more time and MOJO to create and scrapbook . It helps a lot too when you find amazing sketches to work with like the one below from Let's Get Sketchy Blog. I'm working out of order but trying feverishly to get them all done!  Below is The Week 1 Sketch and my LO . My picture isn't so great because I killed my camera this weekend by dropping it in a bucket of water while out fishing! BIG SIGH! This is the best I could do with my IPAD.

August~~Week 3 Sketch Challenge at LGS

Good morning everyone. Today is our Week 3 Sketch Challenge. The sketch was created by our Sketch and Design Team Member Ashley Horton.

Here's my take on the sketch -

 

 

New LO's

Found some Mojo the other night and banged out these  LO's for challenges at Colorful Creations - Pretty happy with how they turned out.

 I had fun adding a variety of embellishments to this page and didn't use too many other pattern papers to bring out the boldness of the map background.

I loved this sketch and found my page coming together so much quicker than they usually do! I used the chevrons from the pattern paper for the arrows on the left, black pearls for my circles and kept the rest pretty simple.

Card for the July Dare - Shabby and Uplifting

I used lace at the top for a vintage look, some floral paper from BG, the Verve Classy Label die, and Verve stamp set Hope Blooms. I added some twine and a little rose to my bow to complete the shabby look, along with distressed edges.

This is my card for this months dare to be Shabby and Uplifting

I used the  Verve scroll die and the Scroll Plain Jane stamp along with the Hope Blooms stamp set, I distressed and inked the edges of my card and used a doily.

My Creative Sketches - June

This is my LO for the June sketch at My Creative Sketches - I LOVED this sketch and am Over The Moon with My LO! My picture of the page is a little wonky but none the less I am very happy with the page. I'm crazy about the bright fun colors in this collection and it's all from My Creative Scrapbooking kit.  Thanks for looking!

Busy Bee!

I've been a pretty Busy Scrapping Bee this past week and thought it time to share some of my pages...
This one was for a sketch at Elle's Studio Sketch Thursday - I'm really happy with how it turned out...

I used this Vibrant Fun picture of my dd and her fiance', next I decided to use the delightful paper collection Maggie Holmes by Crate Paper Co. I loved the embellies and paper punches along with the amazing colors. My daughter LOVES photography so it seemed perfect to include cameras, and slides in the mix, along with the coordinating washi tape. And Wah....La - My finished product -

Next Crafty Page was for Colorful Creations "Say It With Words" challenge - the word is Spring.
I used a picture of an amazingly beautiful Weeping Cherry Tree in full bloom...to me it just screams - Hello Spring!" With this page  I used the Prima Divine Collection - can you say OVER THE TOP with birds and blooms! I was elated to get crafty with all the paper goodies in the kit. 

I LOVE playing with different sketches, and challenges as it prompts me to try different approaches and ways to illustrate my pages without them all looking the same.

Valentines Project

This project was inspired by a very talented scrappy gal Brandi Matos...we are on DT together at Colorful Creations and her wonderful challenge this month was to create a project other than a card or Layout. I happened to have an unfinished wooden birdhouse in my craft room; I just LOVE birds and bird houses! So I got busy with some pretty papers and came up with this adorable Valentine!s themed bird house. I haven't worked on projects in awhile and forgot just how much I enjoy working on them! I'm totally Over The Moon with the finished results!!

I've been having a great time scrapping with all of the holiday photos taken and the Yummy kits and collections I've gotten my crafty hands on!
