2 New Additions

We welcomed 2 new additions to our home on Saturday.....Squirt and Kiwi are our new Parrotletts...I just can't resist cute critters....we now have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 2 birds.....seems like we're starting our own little zoo.

Paper Wings Blog Challenge

I finally got a spare couple minutes to make a card for the Challenge on the NEW Paper Wings Blog.  I really love the old fashion look to the card, the scalloped edge at the bottom inspired me...it reminded me of the feel you would get at an old fashioned country fair.I need a little more practice photographing cards... I bought the Rusty Pickle paper last summer and was glad to finally use it. I used Tim Holtz Distress Paint to crackle the star. Thanks for looking , just think only 6 more months til 4th of July!

Just wanted to give a little shout out to Paper Wings and their new Blog! I'm so excited that I'll get to follow you and enter work and challenges on your new blog! Busy weekend...vacation ahead!

We leave for a much needed FL vacation tomorrow to visit my mom and sister, and unlike me....I procrastinated on everything that needed to be done! YIKES!  I have spent the past week getting LO's and bios together for my first attempts at 2 different design teams....not sure my work is good enough yet but I definitely have the PASSION and DESIRE! On top of getting this stuff together I still need to go to the store, pack and get the house in order...oh well vacation is just a few more hours away then I'll have plenty of time to RELAX! Did I mention we got another suprise 4" of SN*W! Love it when it comes on the weekends.... Any who...here are the my latest LO's  - one was for Twisted Sketches and it was a take on "TIME" I chose a picture of Me, Beth and Dawn on our last 18 hr scrapbooking supply shopping marathon through 2 different states.  The three of us are Best friends, and always have fun filled times together...sad to say that our 3rd Amigo Dawny passed away suddenly in November and left a huge hole in our hearts and lives. This "TIME" inspired LO urged me to scrapbook -If I could turn back time- this was very emotional for me but also left me feeling really good about our times together. Thanks for looking and letting me share a little part of myself....

Ahhh! Now that the holidays are over and the decorations are put away, I found some quiet time to work on a couple new LO's and projects. Two of the LO's were for MCS contest and challenge, I really like the inspiration that they provide me with not to mention the push to get stuff done!

In addition to my LO's I'm really happy that I finally got the print tray done that I bought back in Aug. I used pictures of us and used things such as family and home to decorate with. I really like it!
