A few new LO's

I've been a Busy Scrapping Bee and Loving every minute of it! giggle! Here's some of my handy work...TFL!

For a challenge by Andrew at Colorful Creations the word to use was/is TIME, including layers and lace in the LO. I used a picture of myself when I was 4 years old. I've always liked this picture so it was fun to do a LO for it. The vintage look of Pink Paislee London Market Collection was just perfect, I loved using the large bold letters to accent the softness of the LO. This was a fun challenge and I really enjoyed it!

Turning Back Time

The next LO was for a challenge at Paper Secrets, again in was a word challenge this time the word was COLOR. Another fun one to work with. I knew right away I wanted to use a recent picture I took while on the beach. I always love all the bright and fun colors of the beach umbrellas, and got a great photo of them. The hard part was finding paper to go with them that accented but not over shadow them. I finally decided on a plain white background and leaving a lot of white space...two things I hardly ever do...but have to say I really like how it turned out!

And lastly today is a card for a challenge at Let's Scrap. This was from the sketch this week, Loved this sketch, shopped my stash and came up with this card.

Toot Toot! Exciting News...I've Been Chosen for the Let's Scrap DT for Aug - Nov!

I have spent the last couple months enoying the Let's Scrap website, admiring the gallery, the contest, sketches and chit chat among an awesome and friendly bunch of girls.About a month ago I toyed with the idea of applying for the Let's Scrap DTcall...I got busy, did a lot of scrapping, entered quiet a few contest and just decided last minute that I would give it a try Nothing ventured...nothing gained! They provided a great sketch that I really liked and I whipped it out in no time. To my surprise I received an e mail from Betty yesterday announcing that I was chosen for the DT! Can I get a Woo! Hoo!
     I am so excited and nervous at the same time! Excited to be a part of an amazing bunch of creative, talented, warm hearted and fun group of girls; nervous to learn all of the technical parts of the team and not to let anyone down.  So please keep checking back on the progress of this awesome adventure and come join the fun over there!
