Butterfly House

Wow! How could I forget to mention my visit this week to a new nearby Butterfly House with Lauren? I just LOVE butterflies and spend quite a bit of time watching them in our back yard and trying to get some perfect pictures. Lauren had the great idea to go visit the new exhibit and it was incredible. I was in heaven just being so close to and watching all of the beautiful butterflies. Lauren and I both got great pictures, I just have to share a few.The cool ones in gray and color are Lauren's handy edit work. It was such a wonderful way to spend a day off with my girl!

Summers End?

The recent cooler change in weather is just a little reminder that Summer is almost over here at the Jersey Shore.  It's so hard to believe that in just two weeks the kids will all be going back to school .  Even harder for me, is the realization that my daughter Lauren will be starting her 2nd year of college and Madison her Jr year of HS. How can this be??? It really doesn't seem all that long ago that  we were buying pretty new school clothes, new sneakers and backpacks for the first day of school.  How hard it is to believe that over 12 yrs ago they were just my little girls nervously awaiting the school bus and their first big day of elementary school.....boy how time flies.  Even to this day, I still catch them rushing out the door and make them stand still for 2 minutes so I can have that First Day of School Picture.  With this in mind...it's time to get all those summer pictures scrapped and plan some new layouts for back to school and fall. Unfortunately time doesn't stand still long enough to keep up with our busy schedules and let us just revel in the moments.....

Thanks to the rainy cloudy days last weekend I didn't feel the normal pressure to worship the sun and spend every moment outdoors.  So I was in heaven when I got to get out all my fun supplies and put together a couple new pages.  I was pretty happy how they all turned out.

I loved doing this layout of my mom, the embellishments were so delicate and beautiful.
These Websters Pages were perfect for my LO of Madison on her 1st Carousel Ride, 15 yrs ago...
Pg 2 of layout, I just love these papers...
