Thanks to the generousity of the girls at Paper Wings I got my CRAFT ON this weekend with the Echo Park "Little Girl" line of paper! So far I have created 1 LO and 1 card.
This LO was inspired by a portrait I found of my daughter Madison when she was 2 years old. The colors in her outfit matched perfectly with the paper line and was just right for a LO of my little girl - who is now 16!!! I really liked the little clothes on a line so decided to fussy cut them and handstitch the line for them to hang on. My flowers were hand made, one was a twisted ribbon the other made from a Bounce dryer sheet colored with Glimmermist and stickled, I also stickled every little cherry on every little cupcake, it's hard to see in this picture but really looks great in person. Lastly I tried my hand at a paper ruffle on the heart. The paper in this collection is pretty busy but I think it really worked great in this LO!
Next is a simple card that I made... My mom lives in FL and was recently diagnosed with bladder cancer and is going through some Intense Chemo treatment. She, being a Crafty person herself just LOVES all of my hand made cards. To boost her spirits and keep in touch I try my hardest to send her 1 card every week or two to let her know just how much she means to me and that what she is going through is for all of us! My mom also raises all kinds of tropical birds so I made this card with the little birds with her in mind! I love how the little roses look on the card too! They are from Paper Wings too and I think by Maya Road. Not so great at taking pictures of cards yet but hope you get idea...
Thanks again Colleen for the goodies you sent me home with on my last visit to the store!!!

Love, love, love how you used this line! You're right...the colors are perfect for what your daughter is wearing! I tend to choose my papers that way as well. It's amazing how different these papers can look when put against different backgrounds. (I've posted my LO on my blog. Kim did an amazing Easter LO...bright and BOY themed.) Your card is adorable too! Can't wait to see what other treasures you come up with!!!
See my blog post for a blog award :)
